The One That Started It All
This bagged Volkswagen GTI has to be a very familiar one. It's been everywhere. Of course people typically remember this car having gold wheels, not white fifteen52's.
I want to start talking about this owner on this one though. Alexander Goin, owner of the infamous bagged GTI, has to be one the biggest characters in the car scene. Since knowing him for about a year and a half, its been nothing but unique. Goin saw my early photography work, invited me to do a photo shoot with him and its been nothing but up from there. Made me the official photographer for Miami Street Dreams, spread the good word of my work and help me connect with more people I would have if I did this on my own. He really helped me out and I couldn't thank him enough for that.
Now for the car. Couldn't complain about it. This GTI is nothing but easy to shoot. From rollers to just parking it in random spots for a few seconds, It really fits anywhere.
Before writing this piece, I asked Goin what he wanted to share about his build, at least what hes done so far. Needless to say, its a GTI you wouldn't want to waste your gas on.
From the Injen intake to the custom down pipe, This machine makes 380 horsepower to the wheel with a Eurodyne tune and good ol' corn fuel, E85. Goin thought of everything too. He put a dog bone insert for less engine movement in the engine bay. He even knew when he pulled into a meet, he really wanted to break some necks. So, Airlift performance bagged suspension, to drop it as far as the fat fifteen52 wheels let him. For legal reasons, I have NOT seen this GTI give the train ticket to a few 2018 Ford Mustang GT's.
Needless to say, it is a surprising little hot hatch. Every GTI seems to impress me. Sometimes it the driver mod that counts. This first piece was reserved for the first guy in the car scene that believed in me, and stopped at nothing to get me on the grind to the top. For the year and a half of knowing him, I can say he's my best friend. I don't think there's anything that's going to stop us from getting our car crew "Miami Street Dreams" and my brand " Coat Gang" to the top.
